Cook Women’s Missionary Society

YPD

Led by President Loretha Roberts, the Cook Women’s Missionary Society is dedicated to continuing the ministry of Jesus Christ through compassionate service and witness. The Society actively supports the Flint community through impactful outreach initiatives, including annual Gun Violence Awareness Sunday events focused on prayer, mental health support, and safety education.

As the youth and young adult ministry of the Women's Missionary Society, the Young People's Division (YPD) at Vernon Chapel is dedicated to nurturing spiritual growth, developing Christian leaders, and engaging in meaningful community service. Through worship, fellowship, and mission work, the YPD empowers the next generation to live out their faith and make a positive impact in both the church and the wider community.
